Whales ... Maui's winter locals.

Each year, an estimated 12,000 humpback whales make their way to Maui to spend the winter season mating, giving birth and raising their calves (November through May). The waters around Maui are one of the premier whale-watching destinations in the world. A whale sighting is something not to be missed while on Maui.
